Trivia Question

Tillman Ben Franks Jr has followed in his father's footsteps and has written many great country songs. He is a talented singer and guitar picker.

Daddy Franks
Daddy Franks was a man that had great talent. He could bring out the best in others. He could look into the heart of a Johnny Horton and tell him "It's a monster!" He could feel the soul of a Hank Williams not just changing music but touching a world with music. He was a guide to Merle, Webb, Johnny and Jack, Homer, Jerry, Farron, Claude, David.
He was a fan of music. He loved the sound, the beat, the words. He wrote standards of his day that we sing 50 years later. His favorite thing in the world to do was to play the bass fiddle. In the history of country music, no one had come close to the stand up bass playing of Tillman. He did not just play it. He made it dance. He made it come to life. He smiled. He laughed. He was the life behind the music.
Most of all Daddy Franks is a man that loves people. I talk to him almost daily. He is always concerned about others. If someone is down, he is worried, His gift is caring. He has always loved his wife and his four children. I pastor a Church in southeast Texas. Many times I ask the question. "What would Daddy do?" I always know. I reach out and try to help.

Country Music's "BR-549" made a surpise stop at Tillman's house last week to visit and say Hi! The group has been fans of Tillman for some time. As they were passing through Shreveport, they heard his Friday morning radio show and decided to pay him a visit. They viewed the Tillman Franks museum and heard many old stories. Tillman has always been a family man first. He traveled over one million miles on the road but always kept up with all his family was doing. When possible, his family traveled with him.
