In Tillman's house, there is a museum of country music. Claude
takes a few moments here and looks at the Johnny Horton exhibit.
Tillman managed Johnny Horton in the late 50's and wrote many songs
together including, "Honky Tonk Man" and "North to
Alaska". Claude and Johnny were best friends. They did not
just enjoy singing together, they enjoyed life together. They hunted.
They fished. They enjoyed life together. It was a great loss for
both Claude and Tillman to lose their friend Johnny Horton in a
tragic accident in 1960. |
