Tillman Franks is shown with Shirley Jergens of Cameron, Texas, at right, and Miss Jergens' mother is at left.

Radio Station KRXT - FM of Rockdale, Texas and the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce sponsored Tillman's book signing. The folks at Rockdale went all out to make it a great occasion. Left to right are Calvin Whitely of Milano, Texas; Mike Rutledge of the "Country and Western Swing Jubilee" and Bill Gregory, Program Director of KRXT. Charlie McGregor, owner of KRXT, supported the program, but could not be present.

Johnny Western, left, of Milano, Texas played a big part in putting the book signing together in Rockdale, Texas. He is shown with Tillman, center, and Denice Doss, President of the Rockdale, Texas Chamber of Commerce. Rockdale is a wonderful little Texas town and be sure to visit the Chamber's web site at http://www.rockdalechamber.com/.

Tillman, at left foreground, signs a book for a nice gentleman in Rockdale. In the background, left to right, are Calvin Whitely, Johnny Western and Mike Rutledge.

Ed Swenson, right, of Milano, Texas is shown visiting with Tillman. Ed was among the first three on the scene of the tragic Nov. 5, 1960 car wreck in Milano in which Johnny Horton was killed and Tillman and guitar player Tommy Tomlinson were badly injured. Swenson is the only one of the three still living.
